Privacy Policy

Your financial picture is personal. This policy explains what Spendly collects, why it is used and the choices available to you.

Effective 15 September 2026

01

Information we collect

We collect the account details you provide, such as your name and email address, and the budgeting information you choose to enter, including income, expenses, categories, budgets, savings goals, recurring transactions and preferences.

We may also receive basic technical information needed to operate and protect Spendly, such as device, browser, sign-in and error information.

02

How we use your information

We use your information to provide and sync your budget, calculate summaries and goals, generate reports, answer requests made through the AI Assistant, send emails you request, maintain security and improve reliability.

We do not sell your personal information.

03

AI Assistant

When you use the AI Assistant, the budget context needed to answer your question is sent to our AI service provider. Do not include information in a prompt that you do not want processed for that response. AI answers are informational and may be inaccurate.

04

Sharing and service providers

We share information only as needed with providers that support authentication, hosting, data storage, analytics, AI features and email delivery; to comply with law; to protect people or the service; or as part of a business transfer. These providers process data for the services they provide to us.

05

Cookies and local storage

Spendly uses browser storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your theme and preferences, support guest budgeting and maintain essential service functions. Disabling these technologies may prevent parts of Spendly from working correctly.

06

Retention and security

We retain information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect the service.

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect your information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so keep your password confidential and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

07

Your choices and rights

You can review and update profile and budget information within Spendly, change optional email and privacy preferences in Settings, and sign out at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your personal information. Use the support channel made available through Spendly to make a privacy request.

08

Children and changes

Spendly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy as Spendly changes. We will post the revised policy here and update its effective date. Material changes may also be communicated within the service.
